What you can do
- Turn off the mixer, dry the hose and inspect it without loosening wall connections.
- If user replacement is permitted, remove only the hose nut and check the specified washer. Replace a split hose with a compatible one.
- Refit as instructed, without overtightening. Do not replace a washer with random thread tape.
How to tell whether it helped
Run water into the shower tray. The hose and both external joints should stay dry.
When to stop
Stop if the nut is seized, the wall fitting turns or water emerges behind the cover.
