- Note whether it rubs, fails to latch or strikes at the end. Record a short video without bystanders.
- Give the manager door and closer markings. Adjustment must follow that device's instructions.
How to tell whether it helped
After service it should close and latch without slamming, as its intended function requires.
When to stop
Do not wedge fire doors or disconnect closers. Secure the area for a dangling arm or damaged hinge.
